I think a new thread is needed now since the nominations are out. (The last comment link stopped working in Part 13).

Just done some calculations on my predictions…and I’m embarrassed.

I predicted the GF, Pop, Rap & R&B categories so in total that was 92 nominees.

    Breakdowns:

    Overall, I got 46.5% predictions correct. (46/92)

I did alright in the GF with 47% of my predictions being correct. (15/32)

I done slightly better in the Pop categories with 53% of my predictions being correct (9/17).

My top category this year was Rap, where I scored 60%. (12/20)

I did disastrous on the R&B field with a horrible score of 24%. (6/25)

I honestly hope they don’t give the Grammy to Mac just because he’s dead. The album was good, but not better than Daytona, Astroworld or Invasion of Privacy.
    Cardi for the win!!

Wow, what’s wrong with the Academy? They got some really great picks in some categories but on the other hand there are some horrible choices!! Beyonce, Ed and Taylor and Ariana are easily the biggest snubs.

So happy that Cardi’s only competition for Rap Album is Travis.

    She can win that!

I really hope so. Anyways The Grammys really hate Beyonce, they snubbed her for 2 Grammys this year already. She should easily win for Perfect with Ed sheeran- The biggest song and best song this year! Ugh, everybody and their mama knows 100% lyrics of that song

I dont think they hate her. She got 3 Nods for EVERYTHING IS LOVE an era that has underperformed commercially. More than what she got for “4” when you put things into perspective. I think Perfect not getting in has more to do with Ed Sheeran than her.

It is fishy to me that Pop Dup had SEVEN nominations and the Grammy bait song Perfect Duet didn’t make it.

As for the rest of Beyoncé’s nominations for EIL, I think the committee doesn’t want to nominate her to lose again or have her potentially win for a mediocre album. I’m certain that if her next album is Lemonade/BEYONCÉ level again, it will be nominated all over the GF.

I still think that nominations being acclaimed and a little random won’t have much to do with the winners like las year. Jay Z got 8 noms and 0 wins.

    Facts:

-Christina and Shawn Mendes will lose all categories for sure

-Song, Record will go to at least top 5 hit- Shallow, The Middle, God’s Plan or All The Stars

-Taylor got 1 nomination but she will still win that one and won’t go home empty-handed but Ariana will

    – I can see Lady Gaga took 2-3 categories but if the Academy loves all the stars she could only win the pop category

-Camila and Post won’t win anything else than pop vocal performance… I think one of them will win it but if not they go home empty-handed

    Mine stats:

    Overall – 50.53% (48/95)

    GF – 56.25% (18/32) (but GD counts 58%, I don’t know why)

    Pop – 50% (9/18)

    Rap – 45% (9/20)

    R&B – 35% (7/20)

    Song W/VM – 100%

Someone in the other thread questioned why Panic! wasn’t nominated, and I honestly think its because High Hopes really peaked after the voting phase.
