Let the gender-bender Season 18 continue as ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ returns with a shake-up of teams

Something called the World Series caused a game, um, show delay with “Hell’s Kitchen” last week. So you might need a reminder of what went down previously – namely, the complete upheaval of the much-touted format of Season 18. Forget rookies, never mind veterans.  We are back to separating the men, now the Red Team, from the women, now the Blue. Period.

Clearly, both sides were in disarray during the dinner service at the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant during Episode 4, leading Chef Gordon Ramsay to yell, “You guys were in oblivion this evening!”  Instead of kicking  a lone underperformer out of the competition, he decided to simply go back to basics. Look for Gordo to break the ice a bit by pulling a fast one on the chef-testants, as shown in the exclusive online clip above from this week’s Episode 5. Let’s just say something is fishy. As usual, chef Kanae Houston reacts with just the right inappropriate remark to sum up the situation. “Hell’s Kitchen” will fire up again on Friday at 9 ET/PT on Fox . Meanwhile, tell us how you feel about the switch-up of teams with this poll.
